"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"

Mary Oliver

"Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how.'"

Viktor Frankl

If you are considering counseling services, you are considering an investment in yourself and I would like to congratulate you on that choice.

Whether it’s just or not, life for all of us includes some universal experiences: grief and loss, self doubt, career indecision, anxiety (as well as, of course, many positive things, but nobody goes to therapy for those).

In 15 years of professional counseling experience, my clients and I have worked through life transitions and day-to-day emotional struggles, always with a focus on gaining skills and seeing (and steering) our lives from a larger perspective. My 10 years of experience in corporate middle management, 9 years in higher education, as well as extensive volunteer work in the field of grief, provide further perspective in my work with clients.

Early in my adult life I benefited from the guidance of a therapist who helped me to identify patterns in my thinking and behavior that led to low self esteem. I’m still on my own journey, and intend for it to last to the end of my life. Perhaps you would benefit from someone to accompany you on your journey for a time, to help you build the skills that will help you grow into the version of yourself you want to be. If that’s a hard thing to even imagine, we can start there.
